Pregnancy Pact

Ok, so this may be totally random but I'm putting it out there because I want my thoughts out of my head. I'm watching "The Pregnancy Pact"and it kind of makes me mad. How can a group of girls in high school make a pact to all get pregnant. I mean don't  get me wrong, children are great and I want kids and I know girls that had kids way too young, but high school...a pact? I just don't get it. Is this all because of Jamie Lynn Spears? Other than her, most and I say most celebrities are waiting until their mid 30s early 40s to have children. Or could it be the lack of parental supervision and discipline in the world? Or could it be the lack of personal and moral values that teenagers have today are so totally screwed up they feel the need to have sex and get pregnant? I'm 23 and single and at times I feel like I'm missing out and becoming "too old" to start a family because girls that I graduated high school with are married and having children; at the same time, there's no way in hell that I could fathom having a kid or kids at my age. If anyone is reading this, I mean no disrespect; this is just me getting my thoughts out and trying to answer burning questions in my head.

Oh great, and as I'm writing all of this one of the pregnant girls on the movie is chugging liquor because she lied to her boyfriend and he dumped her. That's another reason why 15 year olds shouldn't be pregnant; they don't understand the repercussions of their decisions. Do they not know that drinking leads to fetal alcohol syndrome which causes mental and physical delays. Sorry, I'm a special education teacher and that made me go off on a rant.

P to the S....I LOVE KIDS! My sister had a child way too early (she got pregnant the night of her college graduation) and yes, she made a poor decision and put her life on hold (still holding after 3 years)  but I love my nephew like a fat kid loves chocolate cake and wouldn't trade him for anything in the world.

Going to go and finish watching this movie and then heading to bed! Goodnight blog readers (if you're out there reading my blogs).
